Potty Training

Potty training is a crucial part of owning a dog. While it is easier to do when they are a puppy, good habits can be created when they are older as well. Potty training is important because of sanitation and health- you definitely don't want them to go in your house, especially if it ruins rugs or carpet which can be expensive. A factor to consider is that with having small children that crawl around and put their hands or toys in their mouth, it's absolutely paramount for pets to be potty trained. Another reason to potty train is it makes traveling with them easier and more convenient. You don't have to worry about your dog going where they shouldn't, which can be difficult to clean under certain circumstances and sometimes even embarrassing. And if you have developed a strong bond where they feel secure, it should eliminate them feeling their need to mark territory in unfamiliar places and save you a lot of headache in the future.
